The perfect novel
I have been thinking about the perfect novel. It has 27 chapters about 12 pages each in length. Filling in the blank spots has been tough to figure out though. Thinking rather than counting or writing is always the hardest part.

I find the writing the hard part. I'm always thinking -- or I think I'm thinking -- tossing around ideas and emotions, scenarios and story arcs. It's the damn writing! Turning those voiced in my head to words on the page -- or screen, as the case may be.
Than again, I'm more of a short story and opinion writer... with the occasional foray into derivative and banal poetry. A novel, on the other hand, would probably drive me to drink... more.
