Darned Generals

Reuters reports that Bush is criticized over terrorism suspects trial plan. Guess who is criticizing the plan.
Pentagon lawyers balked at Bush's proposal to limit the terrorism suspects' access to evidence.

"I'm not aware of any situation in the world where there is a system of jurisprudence that is recognized by civilized people where an individual can be tried and convicted without seeing the evidence against him," Brig. Gen. James Walker, U.S. Marine Corps staff judge advocate told a Congressional hearing.

Darned limousine liberal generals.

I was moved to blog the same thing.

I hope the rest of America is crawling out of it's shell of domestically imposed fear and are beginning to realize this administration is making America far less a civilized nation -- far less America.

There will always be a general to stand by the politicians in power to shill the party line. I am, however, far more moved by the generals who exercise true profiles in courage and speak truth to power; who actually find the country the object of their loyalty and not a political movement.
