Congratulations, Lynn, on your new must-have iPhone.
I'm as crazy about it as you and visited several Apple Stores in the US when I was there just a week ago - just to touch (heck no, fondle and caress) it and tapping away with my fingers. I couldn't buy it since it doesn't work in this country and won't be for sale here for another year at least.
But it is a marvel of aesthetics and functionality - just like all other Apple products - I have been a "fan-boy" for the past twenty years.
So you have learnt to type on it. It took me some time to get used to that.

I just finished watching the features and functions video. I am even more amazed now. I am still trying to get the hang of typing on the keyboard. I am sure I will get better at it after some practice.
As for posting comments to my blog, I am still trying to figure out the easiest way to do that.
I hope your trip continued on successfully. I am sorry to hear that you won't be able to buy a phone for another year. They should be new and improved by that time though.
