Stinking Media Bias

In another blatant case of media bias, Reuters reports this story.
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A car bomb exploded outside a Shi'ite mosque in a town north of Baghdad on Wednesday and police said initial reports indicated at least 20 people were killed.

The blast targeted worshippers at a mosque in the town of Howaydir. Hospital officials said dozens of casualties were being treated.

Last week a triple suicide bombing at a Shi'ite mosque in Baghdad killed 90 people.

I’m surprised the bastards didn’t go on to claim there is a civil war going on in Iraq. Where are the uplifting stories about Marines handing out candy bars to homeless Iraqi children?

Darn mainstream media.

Good news:
With the help of reconstruction funding from the U.S., Marines and contractors have rebuilt three schools in Baghdad, opening the doors to boys and girls alike....

Bad news:
Unfortunately, due to the ever worsening security situation and escalating sectarian violence, it is unsafe for children to travel to school.

...or else they might get kidnapped.

This is why Bush is trying to look big and tough on Iran. He's got nothing left. Everything he has tried since 9/11 to look good to his people has been a complete failure. And now Iran - which he can't do much about anyway.

And the Democrats are equally as hapless.

It's enough to make you pity our pathetic ruling elites. Is it not? Just a bit? Go on, it's Easter - be charitable.

Oh, doesn't it

beatroot,

I am tempted to leave pity to the god of the ruling elite. However, I will think about just because it is Easter.

Quite frankly, I'm still feeling cranky over the Arsenal draw against Portsmouth yesterday after I bet them to win. It would be weird if Arsenal won the CL this year and didn't qualify for next year's competition.

If that happens then it would be very similar to Liverpool winning the CL last year. Hopeless in the Premiership, inspirational in Europe.

It's a bit like our political leaders. They can't seem to get anything right at home, so trips abroad looking big and stateman-like is what they look forward too!
