The hardcore leftist professors at UCLA
The rating of left leaning professors at UCLA by UCLAprofs.com is getting some attention in Blogland today. Kieran Healy at Crooked Timber has the best take on it yet. See Radical Professors Exposed, Woo.
But apart from the fist innovation, UCLAprofs.com is pretty badly written, poorly designed and completely fails to hit its target, as most of the “radical causes” it cites (disapproval with President Bush, opposition to the war in Iraq) are in fact at present majority positions in the United States.

All I can tell you is that it is like Animal House.
Well, I hope the folks at UCLAprofs.com are more like Animal House than HUAC.
I scanned the UCLAprofs.com site and found a lot of accusation, but very little to back it up. And when they did give examples, I found nothing radical at all. In fact, one such 'proof' of wacko-liberalism was that a professor was once on a public access cable show on which one show was titled “The Elites Who Govern Us.” Now if I didn't know the context, I would have sworn this was a line form a Newt Gingrich speech.
One need only oppose the administration's policies and offer alternatives to be labeled a radical extremist and marked for termination. Stalin would be proud.
